Welcome to my Original Music and Drive-In Nights Project Pages!
I've always had a passion for Drive-In Movies, yes, I'm probably giving away my age but that's ok. (The picture above makes me look young!)
A few years back I wrote a song I called "Drive-In Nights" that was inspired by an old Drive-In I ran across in Craig Colorado. I remember the first time I saw it as I drove around the bend, it was standing there all alone waiting on an empty parking lot... I got out walked to the middle of the overgrown field that once was the parking lot and stood staring at the weathered screen... A local drove by and rolled down their window asking... "What's playing?" I told them "Memories", they laughed and nodded, knowing what I meant. It was an era that made it's way into the history books.
There are Drive-in's that are still operational... but there is only one left in the state of Wyoming. It's called "American Dreams" and it stands proud in Powell, WY. If you get a chance, some summer drive on up to Powell and take in a show, bring the kids along making it a family event so they can share the experience too, a taste of American History!
I am also working on writing a novel titled ~Fate Awaits~
I was hoping to have it finished and ready for publishing by the end of the year...
However, I've gone back to college as full-time student, the spare time I had for writing my novel has taken a back seat.
So... maybe by I'll get it finished in the spring...
With fall semester over I have some time again to write!
